Economic Expert Rebuttals - for defense attorneys

It is not the role of the economic expert to take sides in litigation.  Our role is to provide objective information to assist the finder of fact in assessing economic and hedonic loss claims.  Unfortunately, not all self-styled economic experts agree with us.  Often defense attorneys are confronted with damage claims that they consider unreasonable, speculative, or biased.  If you want us to critique a damage claim produced by economic-damage experts retained by the plaintiff, please select the preliminary analysis option.  We will explain how the plaintiff's expert's numbers compare to those we would have produced had we been retained by plaintiffs' attorneys.  If you decide to proceed to a complete rebuttal report, we will apply the $1,500 cost of the preliminary cost of the rebuttal.  If you have questions that require a minimum of research, feel free to call our office and ask about hourly rates for Dr. Carroll or staff, or you can view our expert and retainer fees page.

The differences between a preliminary report and a complete report option are listed below. Once you have reviewed your options, we encourage you to check out examples of our preliminary report and/or complete report. Once you are ready to move forward, choose the type of report you would like to have conducted and fill out the information about the case below.

Next, we will review your submitted information and ensure there is not a conflict of interest. If there is no conflict, we will begin to work on your report as soon as we receive the necessary documentation. Feel free to call us with any questions.

Tell us a little about the case

We understand that you do not have unconditional access to a plaintiff in order to obtain some of the details we may ask for eventually. Those details are likely to be buried in the records you have for the case and we will wait to see those in time. However, there are some general details we can collect that will help us start our analysis. Below you will find a form that will ask for contact details for the firm you represent and some key details about the case. We stress you are as thorough as possible. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
